Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients – In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugars – Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3 minutes).
- Add Wet Ingredients – Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Combine with Dry Ingredients – Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in Chocolate Chips – Gently mix until evenly distributed.
- Chill the Dough – Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours for better texture and flavor.
- Scoop and Bake – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing cookies 2 inches apart. Bake for 13 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Cool and Enjoy – Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra chewiness, chill the dough for 48 hours. Store cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread to maintain softness.
