Description

This simple yet refreshing peach lemonade is perfect for hot summer days, combining the rich sweetness of ripe peaches with the tartness of fresh lemons.


Ingredients

  • 45 ripe peaches
  • 1 cup sweetener (sugar, honey, agave syrup, or a sugar substitute)
  • 3 cups filtered water (or coconut water or sparkling water)
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 34 lemons)
  • Optional: Fresh mint, basil, or rosemary for garnish
  • Optional: Ginger, chia seeds, or green tea for add-ins

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches by washing, peeling, and cutting them into chunks, removing the pit.
  2. In a saucepan, combine peach chunks, sweetener, and water. Heat over medium and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until peaches break down and syrup thickens slightly.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Squeeze fresh lemon juice (about 1/3 cup) and zest one of the lemons if desired.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice and peach syrup. Add 3 cups of water, and stir well. Adjust sweetness if needed by adding more syrup or lemon juice.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with peach slices, fresh mint, or a slice of lemon.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more syrup or lemon juice to taste.
